Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions.  Please get in touch if there is anything else you would like to know.

Fees

In line with the principle of simplicity, all coaching sessions whether in-person or online, at my consulting rooms or elsewhere, indoors or outdoors, are £160 per hour.  This session fee includes agreed follow-up emails and telephone calls, and reasonable travel (where applicable).

Office Hours

My regular working days for coaching sessions are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  The earliest appointment time available is 9:30 and the latest, 15:30.  One-off or occasional sessions may be booked on Mondays and Fridays by arrangement.

I do not offer any evening or weekend appointments.

Session location

Coaching sessions take place either in person or online.  My office in Cornwall Buildings is in Birmingham city centre, within the Colmore Business District.  Walking coaching sessions may take place in a variety of outdoor settings by prior agreement.

Attendance policy

If you cancel a session within 48 hours of the session time (other than for acute ill health), or fail to attend altogether, you will still have to pay for the missed session.

Accessibility

Cornwall Buildings is easy to access by public and private transport.  There is one step up from the pavement to the ground floor reception level of the building.  Inside, there are stairs and a lift to access the first floor where my office is.  Please contact me if you wish to discuss specific accessibility needs.

Confidentiality

There are strict data privacy rules when seeing a Registered and Chartered Psychologist, and confidentiality can only be broken for very specific reasons.  The first is where there is a significant and immediate risk to your safety and wellbeing or to someone else’s.  Registered and Chartered Psychologists are also legally obliged to report serious criminal behaviour or planning.
